About Us
Hi, I’m Samone, the founder of Urban Yard Co., where we bring a little piece of nature to city-living pups. After two years in an apartment with my Chihuahua, I became all too familiar with the mess and inconvenience of puppy pads. When we finally moved to a home with a garden, it was a breath of fresh air, literally. My dog, Hannah loved having real grass under her paws again, and honestly, so did I.
But when life brought us back to apartment-style living when I moved in with my partner Warren, although it was exciting it was also an adjustment for Hannah. Suddenly, there was no backyard, no patch of grass outside the door, just sidewalks, and concrete everywhere. I wasn’t willing to go back to the old ways. I discovered the idea of dog potties with real grass, brilliant, but expensive. So I decided to create my own version: a reusable wooden potty tray filled with potting soil and topped with instant lawn. Natural, practical, and budget-friendly.
That’s how Urban Yard Co. was born, out of love for my dog and a desire to give her (and yours) a clean, green space to go, no matter where you live. It’s ideal for apartment dwellers, busy pet parents, or anyone who wants an easy, eco-friendly potty solution for their pooch. Because every dog deserves their own little yard.
